Jubilee pamphlet foreword
Wilmot Webster, Headmaster 1918-1941
I am grateful to Mr. J. Rosser for asking me to write a foreword to this brochure in connection with the Golden Jubilee of the Richard Hind Secondary Technical School.
May I venture to hope that the brochure will be read by very many people.
Those of us who had the privilege of assisting in the development of the school from a Public Elementary School in 1913 to its present status in 1963 found it a fascinating experience.
The school has been fortunate in its teaching staff who all shared with the heads task of helping the school's development. What, too, of the hundreds of pupils who also played their part? Some gave their lives for their country in the last War, others gained high distinctions for gallant service.
All honour to them all!
The vast majority of the old pupils have grown into worthy citizens and hold high positions in industry, commerce and the professions.
They owe much to Richard Hind. The school's past is full of honour.
Its future is bright.
Long live Richard Hind!
